About Dil Se:
Dil Se is Stanford University's only Hindi Film Dance team. This nationally competitive, 18 person team encapsulates all the wonders of Bollywood into a ten minute performance complete with full set, costume changes, story line and much more. Our dance team incorporates all styles of dance from Bollywood to hip hop to bhangra and couples these dynamic dance styles with song selections that make our audience relive their favorite Bollywood moments. Since its birth in 2004, Dil Se has had many successes over the years including consistent appearances at some of the nation's most competitive competitions like Jhoomti Shaam and Bollywood Berkeley and has also appeared at the top South Asian Dance competition, " Best of the Best".
At the core of it all, Dil Se is a family--a close knit group of individuals who laugh together, travel together, dance together and support each other on and offstage. And with performances as involved as ours, you can hardly call it a dance, its a production.
So, what does your Dil Se? Find out at auditions and REMEMBER, all levels and/or lack of dance experience are welcomed and encouraged to try-out!
