After a decent absence the Pitchoutofwater meetup is back! We will get back to our usual format of pitches by companies, followed by Q&A and drinks but this year we are going to start with a casual networking event at the Vig Bar.
The primary aim:
1. Get together a bunch of ex-patriots (and of course Americans who are interested in meeting them / each other) who are working in the Digital Media space for some (semi) serious networking over drinks. We would love folks from the social, mobile, video, online ad and ecommerce ecosystems.
It's time to leverage the international angle on the NYC digital scene and meet other friendly people with strange accents who also don't get baseball that are working in great digital companies that you might want to partner with / work for /buy from!
The secondary aim:
Build a pipeline of interesting companies to pitch at future pitchoutofwater events to be held in November and January. This year we want to open it up beyond Foreign firms looking to break into the US to also include any cool Digital firm with ex-pat involvement - domestic or foreign.
It will be a cash bar with drink specials.
