This is the fourth event in our Designers + Geeks Speaker Series. We feature talks from experts on design, technology, startups, and all manner of geekery. Eliminating Design Waste Presented by Chris Jones of Hot Studio How can designers and engineers work together more collaboratively to reduce friction and create better products? Commonly working in silos, designers can feel the end products fall short of their vision while engineers question the expectations of designers. By adopting Lean UX methodologies both groups can find a better ways to work together and come to common understanding based on customer feedback rather than personal options. In this talk, Chris Jones will present his point of view on why the adoption of Lean UX principles helps reduce waste in the product development process. Chris is currently a Principal at Hot Studio in San Francisco and works with early stage and established companies to develop their product strategies. Prior to Hot Studio he served as the VP of Product at Radar Networks and in the late 90’s founded Small Pond Studio’s a leading user experience design studio.
