• Urban community groups from across the country gathering this week in Boston for the “Right to the City Alliance” member congress
• Community, labor and environmental groups working to bring green jobs to Boston
WHAT: Colorful rally & march to Bank of America culminating in confrontational nonviolent civil disobedience action by foreclosed families - with over 1,000 supporters. Historic protest that signals growing national movement against Wall Street.

WHERE: From the Boston Common Bandstand to Bank of America’s Federal Street Headquarters in downtown Boston, Massachusetts
WHY: Outraged by record levels of unemployment, foreclosures and the ongoing economic crisis, over 1,000 people will to take to the streets of Boston this Friday, culminating in a massive protest at the Federal Street headquarters of Bank of America (BAC). This march will be led by Massachusetts residents who face foreclosure by B of A and other lenders. These families are campaigning for Wall Street to refinance and reduce principal on home loans, allowing families to stay in their homes and keeping communities intact.
This march is part of a growing movement to hold Wall Street accountable and comes on the heels of successful eviction blockades and sit-ins here in Boston and throughout the country, and in concert with the ongoing occupation of Wall Street in New York City.
