Join us as we celebrate and debut the Envision Knoxville (EK) initiative! With the help of a grant from the Cornerstone Foundation of Knoxville as well as individual contributions being raised on kickstarter.com, we’ll be launching the first and most ambitious social media campaign ever to gather fresh ideas from the next generation of Knoxvillians in their 20s, 30s, and early 40s on ways we can help our great City reach its potential.
In addition to giving out free wristbands to those who fill out our online questionnaire (it’ll only take a couple of minutes to complete), we’ll be giving away up to sixteen (16) free Kodak PlaySport Zx5 portable Camcorders (a $179 value) to official EK Ambassadors whom will be announced at the event. In return, we’ll be asking that they go out and get a minimum of three (3) videos a week from Knoxvillians aged 18-42 who want to share their ideas on what Knoxville can do to reach its potential. For our EK Ambassadors and others, we’ll also be giving away fun prizes throughout the next two months – including an iPad 2 and other secret items that celebrate Knoxville’s history.

By the end of the year, the ideas and feedback we collect will be shared openly in a report with local businesses, foundations, nonprofits, and philanthropists.
