WEDDING SERVICE to take place on the beach, barefoot in the sand along the
far left side of JACOB RIIS BEACH, NY. 4pm
DIRECTIONS TO RIIS BEACH (via public transport):
5 train (2 train is limited this weekend with a shuttle bus, the 5 is easier and faster) to Flatbush Ave., Cross the street ( near TARGET) and take the Q35 Bus to Jacob Riis Beach/Park.
Ask the bus driver to let you know when he/she gets to the Beach. Tell him/her it's the last beach stop.
There will be balloons set up along bus stop and near parking lot to help you see where to go.
Walking from bus stop, you will pass a defunct Health Center, and turn left alongside a baseball field. Proceed to the boardwalk, walk to the sand and turn left, look for the rocks and the wall of Graffiti along the beach.
DIRECTIONS TO RIIS BEACH (via car):
Since we all are coming from different places, and a beach is hard to get an address for, go to
www.Hopstop.com or
www.mapquest.com and type in your address as a starting point, for the end point type this address: 1-93 Beach 149th St, Neponsit Belle Harbor, NY 11694
The end address is a residence. It is right next to the bus stop and the closest physical address to where we are on the beach. Parking is allowed in the Jacob Riis Parking Lot (we have a permit for the day, and parking is included). Please don't park in the residential neighborhood as you may get towed. Walk along boardwalk to the left, and continue onto the sand headed towards the rocks and the graffiti wall. You should see happy people, a croquet set up and flowers.

WALK along beach all the way to the left till you get to the fence poles, rocks along water and wall of graffiti, look for flowers and happy people.
RECEPTION to take place at MIKNIC in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn
RECEPTION DIRECTIONS from RIIS BEACH:
(public transportation): Cross street from bus stop you arrived from to board the Q35 bus heading to Flatbush/Bklyn College. Exit on Flatbush Ave and board the 5 train. Exit 5 train at Borough Hall. Transfer to B61 (Park Slope/Dwntwn Bklyn) towards Park Slope 20 st via IKEA TERMINAL. Get off B61 (10 mins later) at Columbia and Sackett St. Walk to 200 Columbia (164 feet away).
**It may be easier to take cab/car service, the wedding party will be using one near our reception/house that we can give you the number for after the service. Or you could hail a cab at Flatbush or Borough Hall.
(car):(the fastest/prettiest way!!) Take first LT onto ROCKAWAY BEACH BLVD.
drive 0.3 miles then keep LT at the fork. Drive 0.2 miles then continue onto BEACH CHANNEL DR. Drive 0.7 miles then continue onto MARINE PKWY BRIDGE. Drive 0.7 miles again then continue onto FLATBUSH AVE. Drive 1.7 miles then take the BELT PKWY/SHORE PKWY W. Drive 11.3 miles then merge onto I-278E. Drive 2.9 miles then take EXIT 26 to merge onto HAMILTON AVE. Drive 0.4 miles then turn right onto COLUMBIA ST. 200 COLUMBIA ST is RECEPTION!
