The meetings podcast monthly live meet up is a chance for meeting industry professionals to come together in an informal and relaxed setting to network and talk about industry related educational topics.

Each month we bring an expert in some aspect of the meetings and event industry to do a short presentation and then open a roundtable discussion for attendees to share their knowledge and experiences with each other.

Last month we were in San Diego, and now for October we will be in LAS VEGAS!

Yes, the podcast is heading to IMEX America and we hope that you'll join us live at the Venetian/Palazzo on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

Podcast co-host Jon Trask will be joined by regular contributor Elizabeth Glau of Building Blocks Social Media to discuss....well, we're not sure yet! We'll be at IMEX so the plan is a discussion of the show and what we've seen there...but, who knows what topics may appear once we're at the show and in Vegas.

And because it's Vegas, we're waiting until closer to the date to confirm the exact venue in the Venetian/Palazzo complex where we'll be meeting. The venue is hosting multiple happy hours for attendees with drink specials in various locations. We'll be setting up camp at one of those on Wednesday Night, October 12, 2011 at 6:30pm...until? Well, it's Vegas after all...so, we suspect that we'll be at the venue for a while that night.

We'll be tweating and updating the venue information early next week prior to the show.
