About the Artist
Baltimore-based poet Cherrie Amour is a performing artist who uses spoken wordscoupled with music to create “spoken songs.” Born in Trinidad and raised in Canada, Amour lived and worked in Detroit, Michigan for eight years before relocating to Baltimore in 2009.
About Amour’s Work
Amour has released two CDs: “ilovemesomewords,” 2010 and “Love’s Journey,” 2007, both produced by Detroit musician/producer Ray Merriweathers. Both CDs explore themes of love – self love,family love, romantic love, love in frienships, etc.,and have a musical mix that ranges from techno tojazz and reggae to fusion. Both CDs are available
