OHLONE RECOGNITION, STORYTELLING AND COMEDY
General Admission $10 / No Drugs, Alcohol or Bigots. Be there with an open mind.
This gathering is meant to bring people together and remember the year of our rewards and the loss of others. Sharing stories and knowledge for the next generation is the gift for all. And when you slap humor in the mix, it balances the spectrum of this engagement.
PRESENTERS:
ANN MARIE SAYERS
Ann Marie Sayers, Mutsun/Ohlone lives at Indian Canyon (a real canyon) with her daughter Kanyon. It is the only recognized California Indian Country (an Individual Indian Allotment) in the California coastal region between Santa Barbara in the southern part of the state and the Point Reyes/Clear Lake area, in the north. In Spanish Mission times, her family lived in Indian Canyon (once called Indian Gulch) as a secluded refuge within their territory that was generally inaccessible to the roving troopers who rounded up the natives for use at the Missions. In a landmark 8-year struggle, Ann Marie and her family, with the help of friends, was able to reclaim some of her family's original territory in 1988 as an Individual Indian Allotment.

SULI McCULLOUGH
(Comedian)
SULI McCULLOUGH is an American stand-up comedian, actor & writer. Most recently, he was a writer on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno & “Lopez Tonight”.
However, he’s probably best known for his portrayal of “Mouse” on “The Jamie Foxx Show” or “Crazy Legs” (the dude in the wheelchair!) in the Wayans Bros. spoof, “Don’t be a Menace to South Central while Drinking your Juice in The Hood”.
“Don’t be a Menace…” is one of those comedies that has a huge “cult” following! People come up to me all the time asking, “Where’s my wheelchair? Or ask me if I'll do “Crazy Legs” signature laugh! Don't be a Menace...is one of those movies that fans love to watch over & over again!”
Suli McCullough’s stand-up career began while he was still a student at UCLA. He opened for Jerry Seinfeld & was immediately signed by his managers.
Since then, his comedy has been showcased on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, “Last Comic Standing” & Comedy Central.
He has also appeared in the feature films: “Scary Movie 2”, “Run Ronnie Run”, “The Cable Guy” with Jim Carrey, “What’s Love Got To Do With It” & “Terminal Velocity” with Charlie Sheen. Television credits include: “Seinfeld”, “Angel”, “The Larry Sanders Show”, “My Wife & Kids” & “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”.
In addition to his work in front of the camera, Suli McCullough has amassed some impressive writing & producing credits as well. He’s worked for the past 6 years as a consulting producer on the ESPY Awards. Writing for past hosts: Samuel L. Jackson, Jimmy Kimmel & Lebron James, Matthew Perry, & Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx. He served as the head writer both years Jamie Foxx hosted the show.
Suli McCullough was a writer on “The Tonight Show Show” with Jay Leno, the American Music Awards & D.L Hughley’s “Weekends at the D.L.” Other writing credits include; the 2009 B.E.T Awards, Last Comic Standing: Season 6, and the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. He was also a consulting producer on Jamie Foxx’s H.B.O special “I Might Need Security” as well as “Cedric the Entertainer’s HBO special: Taking you Higher.”
.
Finally, he co-authored a book entitled “150 Ways to Tell if you’re Ghetto”. A humorous look at those little things we all do that can ultimately be traced back to the ghetto. For example; “You know you’re ghetto…if you put sugar on Frosted Flakes.”
