The tradition of Buddhist teachings is grounded in the practice of dana (generosity). This practice comes to us from the time of the Buddha when those who received the teachings reciprocated by donating food, clothing, and medicine.
The CMC carries on the tradition of dana by, whenever possible, offering the teachings without charging a fee. We rely on the generosity of those who attend to keep the CMC running.
At each session there is an opportunity to practice dana by making a contribution to the CMC and the teacher. This also enables us to maintain a policy of turning no one away for lack of funds.
This is a by donation event.
Open to all levels of interest.
