Join us for the 15th annual Eastside Culture Crawl!
Over three amazing days, more than 300 artists in Vancouver's eastside freely open their studios to 10,000 people.
Get a glimpse of how and where artists create the work you generally only see in galleries and stores. Because the artists are in their studios during the Crawl, you can ask them directly about their ideas, their processes and the materials they use.
To check out the artists ahead of time and plot out your route, visit the Crawl website:
http://www.eastsideculturecrawl.com. You can search by artist, building or type of work. All studios are plotted on the interactive map.
The Crawl boundaries are Main St. to Victoria Drive, and 1st Ave. to the waterfront.
The Eastside Culture Crawl officially began in 1997 with 45 artists in 3 Strathcona area studio buildings and was attended by a few hundred people. Since then, the event has grown to include over 300 artists, craftspeople and designers attracting an audience of more than 10,000. The organization itself has evolved to represent the heart of the East Van creative community.
