The first production of Theatre Erindale’s 20th Anniversary Season!
STARRING The Graduating Class of the Theatre & Drama Studies program, UTM/Sheridan
Virtue and villainy, joy and despair – the Royal Shakespeare Company’s epic 1980 West End, Broadway, and TV adaptation of Dickens’ 1838 novel thrilled millions and won multiple awards to become one of the greatest theatrical events of the 20th-century. Money, moral responsibility, money, family, and more money surrounds Nicholas on his journey, supported by a colourful array of Dickensian characters. Part 1 follows the title character and his sister from the tortures of Dotheboys Hall and the machinations of their evil uncle, to the feats of the Crummles’ Theatre Company. Don’t miss this unique theatrical experience that won a Tony, Laurence Olivier, and New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for best play, and what Bernard Levin of The Times has called, “a ceaselessly entertaining...dramatic triumph".
