We all hold the capability to have many faces, many sides. ‘Dis-guise’ catches a glimpse of those faces.
What version of yourself comes alive in a given circumstance? When you’re alone? When you’re threatened? Loved? When you triumph? Or fail? The precarious question is: Which of those is the REAL you?
Co-Directors Angie Simmons and Amy Shelley, and the dancers of Evolving Doors Dance, explore these questions and what happens when we take off our masks and stand before ourselves and each other.
Can we embrace the person we see? We encourage you to observe, participate, think, question, and evolve in response, and to see each other as human, fallible, and beautiful for that.
This project is made possible in part by Boulder Arts Commission and Boulder College of Massage Therapy.
