As the growth of mobile devices explodes, more people are accessing the web, using web apps, and installing native apps on the devices never more than three feet away and which are always on. This ubiquity has lead to experience design challenges, because people expect the same (or similar) experiences across all devices, regardless of the screen size, input methods, and bandwidth access. Designing for mobile UX has forced us to think about content, context, and community in new ways. We need to design for limited attention, lower content density, immediacy, and emotion. In this talk we'll discuss some of the key issues faced by mobile UX designers and explore some of the emerging best practices.
