On Monday, October 24th- United Nations Day- Blue Key supporters are taking over Twitter to tell their friends about the Blue Key, raising awareness refugees and urging people to get their own Blue Key key (remember, they're just $5 each and available to anyone within the United States.)
A tweetathon is a fun way of supporting the Blue Key campaign and giving refugees a voice. Just like in a good old-fashioned telethon, we're going to talk #bluekey all the way from 9 am - 9 pm ET that day.

In particular, we’re thrilled that Roya Hosseini of the Khaled Hosseini Foundation, who joined us for our first tweetathon, will be coming back to remind us of how far just $5 can go in the refugee world.
To prepare, just make sure you're following @UNRefugeeAgency (that's us). Then, whenever you can during that day, just sign into Twitter and follow the #bluekey hashtag to participate in the conversation.
As much as possible during that time, encourage your Twitter followers to get a $5 #bluekey and make a difference to refugees worldwide. What better way to spread peace?
We've made it easy for you - copy and paste any of the below that speak to you and your followers. We've pre-populated the tweets with links for extra simplicity... and they're each already under 140 characters!

So please do join us. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it could help someone you’ll probably never meet… but you’ll be infinitely better off for doing so.
