The folks behind Suppenkuche recently (as in yesterday) opened a beer garden in Hayes Valley, cleverly named Biergarten. I know some of you yupsters have been keeping up with news of its perennially delayed opening and are dying to sit down with a pitcher and a pretzel among industrial shipping containers - and without the surly staff at that other place.

I know some of you yupsters have been keeping up with news of its perennially delayed opening and are dying to sit down with a pitcher and a pretzel among industrial shipping containers - and without the surly staff at that other place.
The occasion is that it's the penultimate Sunday of October and that I leave on Tuesday for New York. I've no return ticket, but in all likelihood I'll be back for a visit within the calendar year. Not quite so dramatic or final of an exit, but I'd love for you to come out for a bier with me this Sunday (should tentative become definitive, which I'll let you know about).
