Rochester’s youngest business owners will be the focus of Rochester Young Professionals Entrepreneurs Expo, a networking and business event on Thursday, October 27 between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Memorial Art Gallery. The free expo will showcase more than 30 businesses owned by young professionals.
“A story of a young person who chooses to establish and grow a business locally is a success story about the future of Rochester,” said Steve Vogt, president, RYP. “This event will inspire our entire community, from students thinking about starting a career in Rochester, to young professionals who aspire to start their own business, to community and business leaders seeking young talent.”
The expo will also include a one-hour panel discussion at 6:30 p.m. featuring perspectives from young business owners on the benefits of developing a company in Rochester. Attendees will have an opportunity to visit the business showcase and network before and after the panel discussion. Featured organizations include Rochester Business Alliance (RBA), the Small Business Council (SBC), Rochester Young Professionals (RYP) and Memorial Art Gallery Young Professionals.
The event, which occurs during Max at the Gallery Tapas Night, will also allow attendees to purchase food and wine, listen to live music, and visit the new exhibition, “Extreme Materials 2,” for half-price general admission ($6.00).
