All You Ever Needed to Know About the 11th Annual Brass Tax 6:66-6:66 Sunrise to Sunset Halloween Rage-athon: Escape From San Francisco!
THE BRASS TACKS:
The party begins at 6:66am this Sunday, Oct. 30th and goes until 6:66pm, aka Sunrise to Sunset. We are fully permitted, with sound, for this entire time. Yes, despite what you may have heard, Oakland is a magical place! All the special details that you've come to know and love about the Brass Tax Halloween party will be in effect, along with some ridiculous new surprises that could only come from the twisted minds of BTx. There is a nice big lawn for you to spread out blankets and such. There are restrooms onsite, and we will have a couple portapotties to supplement them, because we care.
First, a few park rules/regulations:
+ NO FIRE/open flames/fire dancing/fireworks.
+ LNT: Leave No Trace! Bring a trash bag and be prepared to pack out everything you bring to the park, including all of your trash & recycling. Do not use the trash cans onsite: if we leave them full with overflowing trash, we WILL lose our security deposit, on top of the hefty permit fee. If you see someone who doesn't seem to understand the concept of LNT, give them a trash bag (we'll have some to share) and show 'em how it's done. We need everyone's help to keep the park clean so we can come back again!
+ BOOZE: beer and wine are permitted in the park, but please use discretion anyway and pour your adult beverages into a cup like the klassy folks you are.
+ DOGS: well-behaved dogs are welcome in the park, but please bring poop bags, pick up after your pet, and don't forget to bring plenty of water for your pup - it will be quite warm & sunny all day.
+ DRUMS: No drumming unless your name is Ernie Trevino.

PARKING:
If you are driving, park legally along Joaquin Miller Drive (or wherever you fancy, as long as it's legal). You may see some spots blocked off for disabled parking and shuttle drop-off - DO NOT park in these spaces or we'll mock you mercilessly in front of the entire crowd while we make you move your car. Seriously.
SHUTTLES:
We have one shuttle going from the Church & Market Safeway lot (in front of the Jamba Juice) in SF to the party at 7:30am. ***There are currently 3 open seats on this shuttle if you didn't reserve a seat in advance and still want to take the shuttle***
Shuttles from the Rockridge BART station to the party will be $5 per person. Pickup times are 8:40am, 10:00am, and 12:00pm.
Return shuttles to the Rockridge BART station at the end of the day will be free of charge for everyone who has paid for the shuttle to the party (we'll give you a stamp), otherwise they will be $5 per person. Shuttles will be departing at 6:00pm, 7:15pm, and 8:00pm.
We'll have a Brass Tax sign on each of the front doors of the shuttle (passenger van), so you know what to look for. Please thank your driver!
