The legendary Joey Arias returns to Berlin with his first solo concert engagement in a decade! Most recently Arias appeared in Berlin in conjunction with the world premiere of the documentary "Arias with a Twist: The DocuFantasy" at the Berlin International Film Festival. He memorably performed 3 songs at the Midnight Special after the Teddy Awards. Previously he has appeared at Bar Jeder Vernunft in StarLust with Sherry Vine, and he appeared with Berlin mayor Klaus Wowereit on stage at Berlin Gay Pride in 2009. Presented by New York City "downtown impresario" Earl Dax ("Weimar New York") in conjunction with Heimathafen, the concert will feature Arias' signature 'channeling' of Billie Holiday and other favorites from the Arias oeuvre.
