The hike runs 2-2.5 hours and about 4-5 miles. Bring water and a long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, or jacket if you get chilly easily. Optional accessories include camera, munchies, etc. And dogs are welcome!
Park in Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round lot #2 and we'll meet on the south end. For those of you that haven't been there before, here's a Google Maps link to lot #1 that you can get directions from:

However, the easiest way is to get there is to take the Los Feliz/Crystal Springs entrance to the park just off the I5 freeway. Go North on Crystal Springs into the park and stay to the left through the construction. After about a mile and a couple of stop signs you'll come to a four way intersection. The ranger station should be on your right. Make a left at that intersection, go up the road a little bit, and you'll be forced to turn right into merry-go-round lot #1. Just drive through lot #1 and down the road a little ways and you'll be in lot #2.
I'll send my cell number to those coming a couple hours prior to the hike, so if you can't find us or are running a little late you can call and we'll wait a few minutes for you.

PLEASE NOTE: Zoo drive is CLOSED. You have to come into the park through the back way via Forrest Lawn/Griffith Park Blvd, or through the Los Feliz Blvd/Crystal Springs Entrance. If you're not familiar with the park, use the Los Feliz entrance. It's easier.
