Introducing 'Londata: putting data to work' There's a lot of people doing a lot of great things with data in London and we wanted to have somewhere we could come together, share stories, listen to a great speaker and help grow the ecosystem for the benefit of all of us. Our focus is very much the practical application (and commercial exploitation) of data. There's already a few tech-driven meet-ups around data, but we wanted to do something from more of a commercial perspective. More 'what' than 'how', if you like. Our plan is to keep it informal, keep the tickets free and let the community decide where they want to take things. We're delighted to announce Emer Coleman, Director of Digital Projects for the GLA, and directly responsible for The London Datastore, as the speaker at our launch event on November 23rd. Emer will be talking about the challenge of 'Setting London's data free' and will have some interesting tales to tell...
