Our November MN.swf meeting will be on Tuesday, November 8th from 7-9pm. Once again the meeting will be held at Zeus Jones. We don’t have a pizza sponsor for this event, so please bring a couple bucks to throw in the hat for pizza and soda.
At the meeting we'll be taking a look into the world of physical computing with the Arduino open source hardware platform. Jason Striegel from Zeus Jones will be demoing his wireless package tracker followed by a hands-on workshop where you'll get a chance to write software for an Arduino device using the Processing language and IDE. Boards will be available to experiment with and all skill levels are welcome.
Discussion will focus on what people are doing in this space, how hardware devices like the Arduino fit into the broader world of mobile development and what you can do to get started today. During the hands-on segment, the group will break out into teams and be tasked with building applications at various skill levels. If you're already an Arduino developer, feel free to bring your mentorship skills. If you're new to the Arduino platform, this will be a great opportunity to learn and experiment!
