This group will have participants that have published apps, are working on apps, have dreamed of building apps, or just have a general interest in this amazing off-shoot of technology. This meeting will have a special focus on discussions surrounding a couple of areas.
1. Chris Haney - DSI Where is the App world going after consumers are buried with flashy and snazzy, and as the wow-factor wears off. What are the core areas in life that we need to have app access? Could mobile Enterprise apps be the next big thing?
2. Jon Richards - The SETI Institute (seti.org). An overview of the Institute, its mission, its accomplishments, and a brief introduction to the work Jon has produced. As this story develops he plans to present the group with how plans to use mobile apps to extend the SETI mission. He will be soliciting your ideas, suggestions, critiques and advice surrounding his efforts.
3. Do you have an app you are working on and would like to show off? Let's all show off our apps! Bring your laptop, plug in to the wall monitor and walk us through what you are doing and what you might need help on.
4. Utilizing the momentum of this conversation, the meet-up group would benefit greatly from a conversation about points of interest for upcoming meetings. Let's not lose the opportunity to establish a good calendar for next year's meetings.
