Joi will be speaking on "Innovation in Open Networks.”
Joi is an entrepreneurial guru who has been an early investor in many leading Internet businesses, including Twitter, Technorati, Flickr and Last.fm. In addition to serving as the Director of the MIT Media Lab, Joi is the Chair of Creative Commons, Senior Visiting Researcher of the Keio Research Institute and an affiliate of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.
Joi has been routinely cited as a global leader in technology by BusinessWeek and Newsweek, and has received several awards from institutions in Japan and the United Kingdom for his work.
Joi will be visiting Dubai on December 16th, and will be stopping by Shelter for an evening of conversation and sharing. He will present a talk on “Innovation and Open Networks” that will be followed by a free-form question-and-answer session with the audience.
