From now through January, My Own Two Hands & Citizen Hope will be working together to collect books for local elementary schools and organizations in San Francisco and the East Bay.

We have created partnerships with with five elementary schools and two nonprofit organizations in SF and Oakland--George Carver Elem, Junipero Serra Elem, El Dorado Elem, Rosa Parks Elem, Opportunity Impact and What Now America. We will be holding a number of events in the coming months to support this book drive. With your help, we hope to collect over 1000 books! Our school budgets have faced devastating cuts, and they have identified books as a critical need!

Our events will be a great opportunity to have fun and meet cool new people, learn about Citizen Hope and My Own Two Hands, and support our community. All are welcome!

Read Alouds are an easy and fun way to support our schools and our students. You just come in for an hour or so, read in a classroom and interact with the kids, and that's it!
