Nanda Soderberg started blowing glass in undergraduate school. He received his BFA in Glass from the University of Hawaii in 1998 and after 7 years of production glass blowing in Seattle and California Nanda moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend graduate school. It was in graduate school that Nanda started experimenting with recycled glass. These experiments culminated in a thesis show that consisted of only art work made from recycled glass. He completed his MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007 and began teaching glass blowing in the Craft/Material Studies department at VCU as an adjunct faculty member.
Currently, Nanda lives with his family in San Clemente, CA. Nanda teaches glass blowing as an adjunct faculty member at Cal State Fullerton and operates Solos glass which he started in 2007 to provide the consumer high quality handmade products that are distinctive and modern.
