It’s got a new time, a new place and name, but C A K E’s got all the sugah of Holiday PotLucks past – maybe with just a little more “yee-haw” mixed in with the rock-it!

Entirely volunteer-driven, diverse and baditude-free, C A K E ... for the Holidays brings together the best of the best and their good intentions with a single aim: to match community need with the community’s capacity to give.

THE PROJECT

We’ll be decorating and stuffing stockings for the kids and families of La Casa de las Madres. These are the items La Casa has requested. Everyone is to bring at least one full set:

2 - Small toys (1 for a boy and girl) Ages: infant to teens
1 - Children’s journal
1 - Winter hat (unisex) Ages: infant to teens
1 - Pair of cozy socks

Volunteers will collect these items when you arrive and stage them with the stockings to be decorated, and then they’ll be stuffed, packed and sent to La Casa.

Could say by rolling up your sleeves and putting your hands on a project, it’s got a funny way of touching hearts.

We’ll have live bluegrass music to work to and dance music to work “it” to after the project is done. There will also be a scrumptious buffet brunch being served with bottomless drink specials and specialty drinks made by the liquor sponsor to wash it all down. So come hungry and full of heart and soul.
