Ministry of Stories takes over YARN presents The Special Relationship for our Charity December Show!

The Ministry of Stories mission is to inspire a nation of storytellers from the backroom of their Monster Supply shop on Hoxton Street. We love what they do, and in the spirit of Christmas we're donating all December door money to The Ministry.

Our regular story-monsters TOM BASDEN, JARRED MCGINNIS and SAM TARADASH will be taking to the stage and we welcome EVIE WYLD, JACK UNDERWOOD and TOM HUMBERSTONE to bring out their story-monsters side with us in December.

The Ministry of Stories will also be bringing some very special guests to the line-up.

To tell you a little more about our Christmas Monster Show....

Evie Wyld (http://www.eviewyld.com/) has been shortlisted for the Orange Prize for new writers and the 2011 IMPAC award. Her first novel won the John Llewellyn Phys prize, as well as a Betty Trask award. She works in a small independent bookshop in Peckham, South London, called Review, and lives in Stockwell.

Jack Underwood's first poem was about a pair of Adidas Gazelle trainers he wore at sixth form. He is currently studying towards a PhD in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths College, where he also teaches English Literature. He is a librettist, musician and co-edits the anthology series Stop Sharpening Your Knives. He won an Eric Gregory Award in 2007. Tom Humberstone (http://ventedspleen.com/) is a comic artist, illustrator and publisher. His work includes the caustic, character assassination series Art School Scum and How to Date a Girl in 10 Days which won an Eagle Award in 2008 for Favourite British black and white comic. He'll be doing some live-illustrating with us during December's show.

What a whopping line-up to finish up a very story-full 2011!

Tickets are £5 for MoS volunteers, and £7 for YARNers, but don't forget, every penny goes towards inspiring young people to transform their lives through writing.
