A little backstory... I've had many memorable nights in New York, and I always look back with many fond memories and amazement at how the past 5 years have progressed. I came to this city as one of those dopey bright-eyed kids with no money, no job, no friends, and my first apartment was in Bushwick in an abandoned lamb slaughtering factory two blocks from the bar (thus explaining my personal connection to the neighborhood) in which my share of the rent was a whopping $200 a month. As the years passed, I ended up with a great group of friends and some countless memories filled with utter randomness, debauchery, and eternal bliss.
This bar is my personal love letter to the city of New York, and hopefully I'll be able to spread some wonderful times to other people through Broomies.
If you're reading this, you've been a memorable part of my NYC experience that shaped who I am today, and I would love for you to come and join me for the grand opening!
