Are you of South Asian descent?
Come by our table at Sproul Plaza on Monday and Tuesday from 11AM to 2PM to swab your cheeks and join the bone marrow registry. The process takes five minutes and could save Amit Gupta's life.
Amit has leukemia, and after he finishes chemotherapy, he needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. There is a 1/20,000 chance for someone of South Asian descent to find a bone marrow match.
He has until the 30th of November to find this match. We are at Berkeley, where we have the power to grow the bone marrow registry with large amounts of South Asians that could save Amit's life - and that of any more South Asians that find themselves with this heartbreaking condition.

Cheek swabbing and joining the registry is simple. And you're not committed to donating if you're a match. And if you do decide to donate, there are 2 procedures, both very common and very low-risk. And the one used 80% of the time is non-surgical. See more here about that:http://marrow.org/Registry_Members/Donation/Donation_FAQs.aspx
Even if you're not South Asian - you can still join and save someone else's life. And please spread the word to any South Asian friends in the Berkeley area and invite them to this event.
This drive is sponsored by Indus, Project Rishi, and the ASUC.
