Hey everyone. I am a rider on the LIVESTRONG Texas 4000 Team. Every year, a group of 50 UT students bike from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK to raise money for cancer research. I am on the 2012 Team. We'll go on two separate routes - one team will go up the west coast cliffs, and the other will brave the Rockies. 70 days, 50 riders, 2 routes, 1 goal - to fight back against cancer.

Each route will ride 4500 miles, and each rider is responsible for fundraising $4500 - $1 for each mile we ride. Every year we raise about $300,000, and that money goes to MD Anderson, where game-changing cancer research is taking place. Every dollar bring us closer to a cure.
