THE MEENAN SISTERS will take over the CULTIVATE VYNER STREET for a number of events at the start of December. Expect a two day solo show from artist JAYI KIM to open on the evening of December 9th, followed by a group exhibition from the Sisters between from the 12th to the 14th with an opening on the evening of December 12th, along with a two day pop up shop event on December 13th and 14th while the group exhibition is on. .
The Meenan Sisters group show is accompanied by a group of emerging artists and illustrators, who are interested in joining forces with the Meenan Sisters, with the possibility of collaborating more in the future.
This exhibition features collaborative works from Jo Cheung, Ivy Mei, James Boman and Jean Meenan. Jo Cheung's illustration is influenced by the idea of femininity in social construct; Ivy Mei's screen-print 'The Electric Meenan Sisters' is collaborative with James Boman's sculpture.
