Let's meet at Spielwiese in Friedrichshain again! I really liked that venue and think that it's a good meeting place for a group as new as ours. They have a whole lot of different games, so we can pick up and play whatever we're in the mood for. In addition, it is very inexpensive (3 euros per player for the whole day, and even cheaper if you get something to eat or drink), and it just has a really nice atmosphere.
This will be the same set up as last time. I suggest we meet at 3 in the afternoon and have the large table reserved until about 8 in the evening. It seems like the biggest table can seat about 9 or 10 people, so I'm going to have to limit the event to 10 people. If a couple of people end up on the waiting list, maybe I can reserve a second table or we can have an early group and a later group, so that we can accommodate mostly everyone who is interested.
Last time we played 7 Wonders and Taboo, so we had a bit of a mixture between more serious and casual games. That seemed to work out pretty well, and I was thinking that this meeting would be set up similarly. In any case, I encourage you guys to bring your own games (especially if you have a social game like Cranium, Apples to Apples, or something like that, as the only game we could find in English last time was Taboo). I hope to see you there!
