December is a month of parties, so FTB is going to have our version of one too! We'll still be having our usual format, hearing what everyone is up to, but we encourage you to bring a friend along with you to add to the mix. FTB is a group of creative, entrepreneurial types who have been doing interesting projects, so we think our version of the holiday "open house" will likely save the world or at least generate a couple hours of good conversation.
December's Theme:"Putting a region on the map: can this really be
done?"
This month's featured speaker will be Chris K who hosts a radio show on Colorado music for KRFC which is syndicated on stations around the state. Some of the most talked about CO talent is coming from Northern Colorado, and it is the most proactive community for music at the moment. How that all came together is something we might learn from and are excited to hear about.
Chris has been involved with a number of events that feature Colorado and national talent:
* CHUN People’s Fair (Denver) 2005-present. Steering committee, entertainment committee, stage manager, emcee
* Bohemian Nights @ New West Fest (Fort Collins) – 2005-present. Talent advisory committee, regional talent buyer, main stage emcee
* Carbon Valley Music Festival (Dacono) – 2007-present – general contractor/producer, buyer
Additionally, he founded Rocky Mountain Music Network, a company he started to deal with record service and general production and talent services. We are very excited to hear what he has to say.
