What better way to celebrate the holidays and Lawrence's birthday than by donating your gently used, freshly laundered coat(s) to a New Yorker in need for the winter? Okay, how 'bout if those coats were collected by Miss New York and a dozen 2012 Miss NY contestants?

This year's party will be a coat drive for New York Cares, the city's largest volunteer organization. The coats you donate will be given to homeless men, women and children, recent immigrants and others in need.

Come by Lolita (we'll have the back room to ourselves, thanks to the manager Matt Friedlander), drop off a coat, have a few drinks, get embarrassingly drunk, and maybe -- just maybe -- if you're still still standing, we'll do karaoke somewhere.

UPDATE: Miss New York (USA) 2012 Amber Collins and a whole bunch of Miss New York 2012 contestants have graciously volunteered to be the ones collecting your coats at the Socialisting Holiday Party/Lawrence's Birthday/Coat Drive for NY Cares. Yeah, you read that right. Seriously. Cancel whatever else you were planning because you need to go to this. And, have everyone else you know come by, too.
