Join us for Static's monthly community groups - intimate and inspiring coffee shop talks that typically morph into rousing and passionate conversations.
Please bring a short passage from a favorite or particularly poignant novel, poem or song that resonates with you and your story. We will use them as talking points at the November community group.
Food theme: Your favorite Thanksgiving leftover. Freshly made! :) Please post on this page the item you will bring to the group, so we don't have loads of mac'n'cheese (although, I could think of worse things that could happen ...)

Static has been hosting these groups for a couple months now, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive, so we're going to make this an ongoing group! Free and open to the public. Potluck style. Please RSVP.

HOST
Jade Chamness is a 27 year old San Francisco resident. At 17 she lost her father to suicide. Her life spiraled out of control. She picked up the pieces and rebuilt her life. She started Break Through the Static in 2009 to meet America's gaping need for more services and support teens touched by suicide.
ORGANIZATION INFO
Break Through the Static (Static) is an early innovator in the nationwide movement to improve the support and resources available to teen suicide survivors and their advocates. Static is a San Francisco Bay Area-based nonprofit organization that supports and empowers teens impacted by suicide. We encourage you to join the movement and get involved.
