About this fellowship:

BlowUp is a BlindBoys initiative to provide a platform for public access to and engagement in photography. BlowUp runs as an open platform which invites people to register online and share their photographs from around the world. The online platform will culminate in a street exhibition.
From the submissions to the open platform, four fellows will be chosen to work on individual projects in January 2012, the outputs of which will be exhibited in the Experimental Art Gallery at IHC, as part of the UnBox festival (Feb 2-5, 2012).

BlowUp is open to submissions from all. If you intend to apply to be a fellow as well, please mention that along with your submission.
Most submissions will be part of the open street exhibition.
Only four fellows will be selected based on their submissions and will be invited to attend the festival and install their work.


Who should share work for BlowUp?

All photographers and photography enthusiasts from across fields / backgrounds are welcome to send in bodies of work.
The pictures you send should be at least 4 mb each saved at 150 dpi
A write up about the project and yourself is mandatory. Also all these material should be zipped into a single file.
Please title your email - "BlowUp_Open_<your name>".

Who should apply to be a Fellow?
Anyone who is looking to take up the opportunity to produce a body of work around a specific theme during Dec 25'11-Jan25'12. If your submission for BlowUp gets shortlisted, we will notify you on the theme and more details required.
Last date for submissions if you are applying to be a fellow is Dec 25th, 2011. We will need submissions of two bodies of work (with no more than 20 images each). Please also attach an artist statement, project information and a statement of why you want to apply for the fellowship. Please title your email - "BlowUp_Fellow_<your name>". Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be entertained.
