I have a favor to ask for my birthday! Rather than (or in addition to) just being out with friends drinking on my b-day, I'm hoping I can do some good this year by asking for your help for my friend Amy Taylor's rescue dog, Goldie.
This little dog was found in terrible condition (mange and blind in one eye). She is in danger of losing her sight altogether - however there's hope - a special eye-procedure is available that has proven extremely effective in helping dogs like Goldie regain sight.
She'll only be able to regain sight in one eye - but that's preferable to going totally blind. So what I'm asking is that you put in a few bucks into a special jar I'll have set up at Pipers - it would go a long way towards helping this little dog. And as much as I love it when friends buy me drinks on my birthday - I'd love it even more if you'd put that same cash towards a much better use than my drunkenness...lol.
Please pass the word on to those that you know - The surgery is $1600 and that's a lot of coin, but every bit helps. Please do this for me - it'd be the best birthday gift ever. Thanks so much and I'll see you all soon!
