Get ready for Khewra Gorge trekking & tour to Salt Mines!
The Khewra Salt Mines are located in Khewra, Jhelum District, Punjab, Pakistan, about 210 kilometers from Islamabad and 310 kilometers from Lahore motorway. It attracts up to 40,000 visitors in a year. It is the second largest salt mine in world and the oldest in South Asia. It was discovered when Alexander's army stopped here for rest, & his horses started licking the stones leading to the discovery of the mines.

The plan is scheduled as we will trek first through Khewra gorge is approximately 3km and 2 hours trekking from khewra salt mine towards north direction. This region is commonly pronounced as Mitha Patan. There is no proper trail for trekking to approach this area. It is rich with natural beauty and different type of minerals and oars & still most of them are required to explore. It is best place for geological researches and good for hiking. We will also discover spring ( mitha chashma) and than would have also lunch there . Afterward downward trekking we will take our transport in middle of our trek who will take us to PMDC Tourism resort and Salt Mines where we will get ticket of train & visit to salt mines onwards.

The Khewra Salt Mines is the place which will bring creative & constructive life standards includes Solid Salt Mosque , Asthma Clinic ,souvenirs, Train Safari and many more things to enjoy inside mines.
