Keynote speakers including Usman Haque from Pachube (UK), Dan Hill (City of Sound, Sitra) and Natalie Jeremijenko (NY).
The keynotes will be accompanied by presentations of ‘showcases’ from architecture, art, design and policy.
Central theme is how can we use digital media technologies to make our cities more social, rather than just more hi-tech? With a focus on design challenges around:
• Innovative (re)uses of the ‘data-commons’
• DIY urbanism & networked publics
• Sense of place & ‘ownership’
