We must get $860 for this to happen by Dec 1! Make your contribution via PayPal, to anitaskinney@gmail.com or if you want to send check/cash, send a message to Amanda Andrei and we'll get you the details. $10 by December 1 gets you into the party, as well as 1 raffle ticket. If you've paid over $10, you get one more raffle ticket for each $5 increment/bottle for the bar. If you want to up your donation (and get more tickets!) just send a message to Amanda or Anita.
Donations over $10 are encouraged. We can refund you the difference if we make over $860 if you want. Any $ over $860 will be used to make the party more awesome and/or donated to the Alumni Association.

WE ARE THE 99th PERCENTILE
OUR DEMANDS
- An awesome reunion
- In a private venue
- With phat beats
Get ready for the most fun you've had since the All Night Grad Party, minus the moonbounces and the prizes. (Ok, there might be prizes.)
We're trying to host the Reunion You Deserve, complete with food and entertainment. The cheapest venue we've found is the Moose Lodge in Falls Church, which will cost $860 for 3 hours AND let us bring our own food and hard liquor to stock an open bar. So, even though we'll all have to chip in for the cost of the venue, we'll still spend less individually than if we went to a bar and had to pay for our own drinks.
We're not really in a position to spend $860 between the 2 of us on a party, so we're going to have to roll Kickstarter style and collect funds beforehand. Unfortunately, Kickstarter only supports creative projects and other sites charge prohibitive transaction fees, so the best way for us to do this is through Anita's personal PayPal and/or by directing checks/cash to Amanda Andrei. We need to raise $860 by December 1st or I won't be able to reserve the venue (I need to reserve it personally since my dad is a member at the Moose Lodge, which is the reason we can rent it).
FAQs:
- How can I send money?
Paypal anitaskinney@gmail.com or contact Amanda Andrei to exchange cash/checks in the Northern Virginia area.
- What happens when I send money?
We have a Google spreadsheet tracking how much has been donated/by who. You'll be invited to view the spreadsheet to get a picture of our finances and the official guestlist/headcount.
- Will there be tickets at the door?
You can get in for $15 at the door but it'll be hard for us to plan the right amount of food/drinks/etc. so please pay ahead of time if at all possible.
- Can I bring a guest?
We would like to meet your Significant Other. Please contact Anita or Amanda and let us know that you will be bringing another person - this will be reflected on the spreadsheet as well.
- What happens if you don't raise $860?
We will refund your money and we will all meet up in a public venue TBD and announced on this page.
- What happens if you make more than $860?
If you want to donate more than the $10 minimum to make the reunion happen, YOU ARE AWESOME. We can either refund you the difference if we make over $860 (ie if you donate $30, you'll get $20 back) or use your money to do cool stuff at the reunion. Let us know which you'd prefer when you donate. Any money not spent on the reunion will be donated to the TJ Alumni Association.
- Is this an open bar?
YES. We have to provide all of our own liquor and mixers. The Moose Lodge provides bartenders and sells beer for $5/bottle - we cannot bring a keg or beer. Bring cash to tip the bartenders if you are so inclined - they will guard the liquor behind the counter and take our orders.
- What about food?
We're trying to find businesses willing to donate, and/or buy what we can with anything we make over the venue costs. We'll try to organize a potluck sometime in December if we don't have enough money to buy food. Do your parents still own a Korean deli/Popeye's franchise/other place that wants to donate to a nonprofit?
- What kinds of activities do you have planned?
PU TANG CLAN REUNION SHOW, table with old yearbooks/t-shirts/memorabilia, photos of our departed classmates and books for us to write memories in to pass onto their families, Adult Superlatives, a raffle. Can you lend us AV equipment? Want to show off your video of the trebuchet you built in HUM? Does your band want to play a set? Do you want to DJ? There's a stage if anyone wants to show off their MJ routine. We have a blank slate here - step up, people!
Holla at occupy2006@gmail.com if you can help.
