TOMMIE SUNSHINE (Brooklyn Fire, Brooklyn NY)
Tastemaker to tastemakers and musical-icon, Tommie Sunshine is renowned for his reputation of being consistently ahead of the curve.
Set apart by his iconoclastic productions, he is regarded as one the today’s most prolific remixers with almost 300 commissioned remixes to date, and his original production career spans collaborations with such artists as Arthur Baker, Felix da Housecat, Midnight Magic, Peaches, Codes, Bart B More, Shinichi Osawa, The Disco Fries, James Murphy, and many more.
Whether as a DJ, Remixer, or Artist, Tommie brings a unique enthusiasm to his craft; one that is fueled by his encyclopedic (if not obsessive) knowledge of underground and pop music spanning the last half-century.
“I’ve constantly been in the chrysalis of so many different movements of music,” says Tommie. “I’ve always found that exciting and inspiring. I love the evolution of music, it never gets boring.”
The latest productions on his sonic chopping block include remixes of “Heads Will Roll” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and “Keep It Going Louder” by Major Lazer. Tommie is also back in the studio creating original works. His most recent, “Tokyo Pollution,” is a hard-hitting tech house track that borrows inspiration from the straight ahead beats and synth sounds of 90s acid house.
Influenced by equal parts of Kraftwerk, AC/DC, and Farley Jackmaster Funk, mid-west rave legend and Brooklyn, NY resident Tommie Sunshine is raising the bar. Covering ground as artist, remixer, producer, label owner, DJ, journalist and songwriter with his unexplainable DJ sets and legendary live performances now traveling the globe it won't be long before there will be, at least a little, Tommie Sunshine in your life.
His studio collaborations have included Felix Da Housecat, James Murphy, Arthur Baker, Mylo and DJ Hell; he has played everywhere from the Electroclash festivals in New York to Bjork's tour wrap party in Reykjavik to serving as support DJ on the Spring 2003 leg of Fischerspooner's North American tour to opening for New Order in London to Colette parties in Paris beside 2 Many DJs to Vice Magazine launch parties in Tokyo and he has rocked crowds in Mexico City, Barcelona, Munich, Sao Paulo, Berlin & Rio de Janeiro.

Tommie's original music has also been featured in a film by designer Jeremy Scott, NY hotel Tribeca Grand's website, Blockbuster Video radio spots, a CD advertisement for the fashion label Chanel and on the CBS show "Without A Trace". He was also commissioned to do score work for the upcoming Paramount Pictures film Bad News Bears.
After six years in Georgia where he ran Satellite Records - Atlanta and held down two residencies at Club Sol and Fusion, he moved back to Chicago for four years establishing club nights ElectroSweat and Degeneration.

DJ PIERRE (Afro Acid) [Afro Acid]
Back in the day when acid was just a tab, DJ Pierre was holed up in his bedroom inventing a sound which would impact on the music scene forever. In 1986, ’acid house’ was in its infancy when DJ Pierre picked up a 303 and the infamous “Acid Tracks” was born.
Not many artists in the history of dance music can list Carl Cox, Diesel (X-Press 2), Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Michael Mayer (Kompakt Records), and Tom Stephan as fans. Not many can claim responsibility for helping kick start the careers of Felix Da Housecat and Roy Davis Jr. Not many can lay claim to giving birth to a genre and pioneering a sound that had the whole world dancing and imitating for over fifteen years. DJ/Producer/Remixer, Nathaniel Pierre Jones AKA DJ ‘Wildpitch’ Pierre is a rare breed. An artist who’s considered a mentor to many of the ‘A’ list DJ fraternity, old and new, and one man who continues to stand strong in an industry that’s had its ups ‘n’ downs.
From the days of ‘Phuture’, Pierre’s highly successful guise with fellow squelchers Spanky and Herb J – and their epic release‘Acid Trax’, to his biggest hit ‘The Horn Song’, featuring Barbara Tucker, his solo projects with David Morales, Felix Da Housecat and his stint as Head of A&R at Strictly Rhythm, DJ Pierre is a force to be reckoned with. After a bit of a break to get prepped for the ‘Afro Acid Project’, his very first artist album due for release in January 2006, DJ Pierre is back and ready to show the world just why house music was worth shouting about in the first place.
DJ Pierre’s ‘Afro Acid Project’ will explore all sorts of styles and sounds, playing homage to his acid roots, whilst showing his innovative perspective on music today. The first track off the album will be a remix of ‘I Followed You’, a classic wild pitch filled track that only Pierre could pull off, containing a sexy hypnotic acid b-line, flashing hats, sultry female vocal whispers and strings so good they’ll have the attention of the hairs on your neck. The original mix of ‘I Followed You’ is out now on Resopal.

KID CEDEK
The experience of music is an overwhelming excitement that is shared by people through harmony and energy. Merchicedek “DJ KID CEDEK” Reyes born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, is serving up a dose of music that is an adventure to the ears and mind.
Cedek’s birth name Merchicedek is a biblical connotation to a Lord of a high priest, he learned from his grandma at a young age. In school no teachers would attempt to pronounce his name so he was often referred to as Merchi or Cedek (Pronounced “Sed-Eck”). As he began to embrace the art form of djing, the name Kid Cedek stuck with him due to his overall pursuit for all good things in life and non-stop energy.
Growing up, Kid Cedek experienced a vast variety of cultures & social settings such as; Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, New York, Massachusetts, Florida and the “DMV” more commonly know as the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. Due to the diverse influences of the cultures that he was surrounded by, Kid Cedek developed a unique personality.
From his distinctive tattoo’s, charming childish humor, and even down to his arsenal of denim and sneakers, Kid Cedek encompasses a style and personality that is exclusively of his own making. Having shared the stage with acts such as: A-Trak, Le Castlevania, Louie Vega, Steed Lord, to artists like Andrew WK & Murs, Cedek clearly exercises his elasticity as a DJ easily adjusting to any audience while staying true to His authentic style as a producer.
Kid Cedek began his DJ/Production career in early 2009 in the DMV (DC,MD,VA) Area. Ready for change, he headed to Atlanta, GA where he currently resides.
Spending his time in Atlanta practicing, producing and performing; Cedek has come a long way in a very short time. Having performed in Atl’s major venues such as Masquerade, Aarons Ampitheatre @ Lakewood, Opera, The Quad, Sutra, MJQ, Primal, Gold Room, Halo, Whiskey Park, Graveyard, & East Side Lounge (To name a few)- He has consistently proven that no matter the environment he is placed in, that he will deliver the cleanest & most creative mixes you have ever heard.
Recently Cedek has been booked to play the entirety of the 2010 Vans Warped Tour, SXSW, A3C Festival, Identity Festival, DJ Expo, One Music Festival & showcases during Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Through these opportunies Cedek has gained several sponsors, ranging from clothing to pro audio.
From being featured on world renowned blogs, having a #1 song on HYPEM, remixes charting internationally, constant play on Internationally known BBC RADIO 1 via Annie Mac, DJ Kayper, & Kissy Sell Out; to front page posts on Mix Mag, Mad Decent, Ear Milk, Generation Bass, The Mixter, Vibe, & Urb.com & more; Cedek has proven to the masses that his original DJing & production style is in high demand in his hometown and around the world.
Cedek is what most consider to be an “open format” DJ, but If he was placed in a category we’d say he is a “Party Rock”. Kid Cedek was a dancer for years before he decided to take on his career as a DJ/Producer, and it is apparent when he sits behind the booth as he seamlessly blends different styles of music during his live sets. Cedek produces a wide range of tunes from Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Baltimore Club, Moombahton, to Disco House & Electro under a variety of alias’. Cedek plays what he likes to get the party hype, introducing it to a crowd in way they have never heard it before.
