Are you a plugged-in manager? Plugged-in managers make effective use of all their technology, people, and organizational resources -- they never try to solve a problem with just a single silver bullet. Many of us are tech, people, or process-focused and don’t naturally use all three of these critical organizational dimensions at the same time as we manage, work in teams, or even just do our own work. Plugged-in managers are different. Plugged-in managers are people who see choices across each of a situation’s dimensions of people, technology, and organizational processes and then mix them together into new and powerful organizational strategies, structures, and practices.
Prof. Terri Griffith will share how to identify plugged-in managers, the background that helps them develop these skills, and how “mixing” can help in the design of work and work-related technologies.
