Joe Klocek is not only the SF Weekly's 2011 comedian of the year but he has risen to the top of the Bay Area's vast storytelling scene as well. On Underground Sound he'll be premiering his folk/pop ballads which are inspired by the likes of Wilco, Colin Hay and Damien Rice. Confessional, simple and lush, they all sound a little like where they were written; vacant hotel rooms.

Stolen cars, high school football stadiums, ghost hospitals, greasy griddles and trolls populate Tom Sway's revealing, passionate and often very funny songs. His radiant, almost cinematic imagery and superlative storytelling skills are much of the reason that he's recognized as a musician who possesses an authentic voice. Bruce Pachtman accompanies on drums.
