Stanford will mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of Ms. Magazine with a Winter Quarter symposium on “Ms. at 40 and the Future of Feminism” sponsored by Stanford’s American Studies Program, Clayman Institute for Gender Research, and Feminist Studies Program. Highlights include a January keynote talk by Gloria Steinem, a panel discussion with Ms. editors and young feminist bloggers, and over 24 exhibits, film screenings, lectures and performances to take place from early January through March that reflect that myriad ways in which feminism has reshaped the contemporary social and cultural landscape over the last four decades.
