You are cordially invited to a benefit dinner hosted by the friends of Johnnie L. Lewis. We would like to invite you to an event that will allow you to help a young man, a special friend, a determined individual, and a person battling cancer. Johnnie has been a good friend to many and a trusted leader in his community. During his time at BGSU he served the campus community as the Student Body President in the 2007-2008 academic year. He utilized his leadership skills to guide several organizations and provide support at numerous community service events. Johnnie was dedicated to serving the BGSU student body, and now it is our chance to support him.

Johnnie is currently fighting a very unexpected battle with Stage 4 Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma that was diagnosed on July 7, 2011. He is receiving treatment in order to suppress the cancer, but every day he faces new challenges. As you can imagine, being in and out of the hospital and going through chemotherapy is not a cheap process. That is why we are hosting this benefit dinner. Our hope is to give people a chance to not only see and reconnect with Johnnie, but to also offer him and his family some support with his fight against cancer.

The dinner will cost $15.00 per person with all of the money going directly to Johnnie and his family in order to help offset his medical expenses. Wings, Pasta Salad, and Dinner Rolls will be provided while people will be able to buy their own drinks from the restaurant. Feel free to stop by at any time during the three hours of this event to see Johnnie and show your support.
