Your entertainment:
DJ Mu Mu James:
DJ Mu Mu James began spinning records at Ohio State University's college station, WOSR, in 1985. He went on to have shows at WWSU and WAIF (Dayton and Cincinnati community radio stations, respectively) in the early 90's. His interest in dance music, particularly house and techno, led him to regular gigs around the midwest at the ephemeral rave parties and nightclubs throughout the 90's. After a short hiatus, he returned to his home town of Chicago, where he spins Saturdays (9pm-midnight) at Chicago's streaming independent radio station CHIRP (
http://chirpradio.org/). He can also be found playing music semi regularly at pubs around town, and has had guest appearances at local college stations WHPK and WNUR. His style is eclectic, from disco to punk and anything in between, but he prefers a room with an active dance floor.
The Revelettes:
The Revelettes are Chicago's grooviest go-go dancing troupe. You can find them shaking a tailfeather at live music shows, outdoor festivals, burlesque cabarets, workshops for kids and grownups, theatrical performances, and cultural events all over the city, as well as at special events such as fundraisers and private parties. Photos, video, and information about their performances, workshops, and classes can be found at revelettes.com.
