The Austin Children's Shelter has provided emergency shelter, high quality care and hope for the future to the abandoned, abused and neglected children of our community for more than 25 years. The Shelter’s services and programs are designed to reduce the emotional trauma suffered by child victims of abuse and neglect in a safe and nurturing environment. In October 2009, ACS opened its new campus to serve more children and provide expanded programs to better meet the needs of children and youth in its care. Through these programs and nurturing care, ACS lays a foundation of hope for the future of the children it serves. For more information, visit the website at
