Ellen owns and designs for EKO in rural South Carolina. She has made quilts and textile art for over 30 years and has served as an American Canvas panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, and as a trustee of the American Crafts Council. Her works are in many public and private collections, including the Museum of Art + Design in NY, and the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC. The New Music Collective (NMC) was founded in 2005 to meet the needs of a community with no support for contemporary music in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Since that time, the NMC has educated the public about new music through concerts, performances, lectures, workshops, and collaborations with artists of every medium.
