Hey everyone!
In honor of Tuesday's State of the Union address, we will be throwing a State of the Union (SOTU) viewing party at 6:00 p.m. at Dan and Evan's apartment in North Beach (1522 Mason St.), followed by a broader dinner debate evaluating the first three years of the Obama presidency. Come to the 6:00 p.m. SOTU party, the 7:30 p.m. dinner discussion or both! Suggest a topic for discussion on FB wall.
What: SF Parlor Series #8
What: 6:00 p.m. State of the Union Viewing Party, followed by a 7:30 p.m. dinner discussion evaluating the Obama Presidency.
Where: Dan and Evan's apt - 1522 Mason St. (Mason and Broadway)
When: Tuesday, January 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Dinner will be served around 7:30.
The SOTU will last approximately one hour, followed by the GOP response from Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. The SOTU viewing party will feature bingo with political buzzwords like "middle class," "keystone pipeline," "Wall Street" and " and "the American Dream". Suggest keywords on the FB wall. Prizes TBD.
In our evaluation of the Obama presidency, we will discuss where the administration succeeded and failed and whether we approve of its handling of the economy, foreign policy, education, healthcare, etc. Again, suggest topics and questions on the FB wall.
As always, please feel free to extend the invitation to friends and colleagues. We would appreciate it if you could bring an appetizer or drink.
